'There Has Never Been a Palestinian State - That's a Lie' by Ari Soffer



Economics Minister and Jewish Home party leader Naftali Bennett has continued his calls to annex parts of Judea and Samaria, in response to the repeated failure of peace talks with the Palestinian Authority.

Following a letter yesterday to Prime Minister Netanyahu, in whichhe urged the PM to implement his "Plan B" alternative to a "two-state solution" with the PA, Bennett took his message to the internationalmedia last night, in an interview with CNN.

Dismissing suggestions that Israel was responsible for the collapse of peace talks by building homes in Jerusalem, Bennett pointed out that the talks had already ground to a halt after PA leader Mahmoud Abbasrefused to even recognize Israel's existence as the nation-state of the Jewish people, while simultaneously demanding Israeli recognition of a "Palestinian homeland."

"The reality... is that the era of these negotiations is over - it's time for plan B... a new approach," he said. "The approach that we've been applying for 20 years now clearly has reached its end."

Bennett rejected out of hand calls for Israel to freeze construction in Jewish neighborhoods in Jerusalem, as part of proposals to eventually partition the city between the Jewish state and a future "Palestinian state".

"Jerusalem has been the Jewish capital for just about 3,000 years, and just like I would never suggest to freeze building in London, where you're sitting" Israel should not be expected to "freeze our own building in our own state", he said.

Responding to his interviewer's claim that "there has been Palestinian life in Jerusalem for thousands of years," he retorted: "You're talking about a Palestinian presence? Has there ever been a Palestinian state? Show me what its flag was, show me what its anthem was, show me who its leader is - show me anything that mentions the word 'Palestinians' more than 65 or 80 years ago.

"There has never been 'Palestinian state' - that's one of the big lies thatthey've managed to press forward. The reality is that it's been the Jewish land for 3,000 years.

Salesmen and Soldiers

It is true indeed that salvation is bestowed by grace and received through faith — entirely apart from works, religious or otherwise. But it is equally true that it costs to embrace the truth and costs even more to stand for it, rather than selling out. This is why Proverbs 23:23 exhorts us to “buy the truth and sell it not”. In this sense we are not to sell the truth. Yet in another sense we are salesmen of the truth, urging men to buy it.

As we do this we find that there are those who would actually seek to hinder men from buying the truth. Yet it is not primarily they who oppose our efforts, but Satan and his hosts.

“FOR WE WRESTLE NOT AGAINST FLESH AND BLOOD, BUT AGAINST PRINCIPALITIES, AGAINST POWERS, AGAINST THE RULERS OF THE DARKNESS OF THIS WORLD [age], AGAINST SPIRITUAL WICKEDNESS [wicked spirits] IN HIGH PLACES” (Ephesians6:12).

This is why God’s salesmen must also be “good soldiers of Jesus Christ” (II Timothy  2:3). We must make the glorious message known despite the opposition. We must “put on the whole armour of God” and meet our adversaries with “the Sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God”(Ephesians6:11,17). When they would shut our mouths we must pray for ourselves and each other:

“…that utterance may be given unto me, THAT I MAY OPEN MY MOUTH BOLDLY, to make known the mystery of the [Paul's] gospel.

“…THAT THEREIN I MAY SPEAK BOLDLY, AS I OUGHT TO SPEAK” (Ephesians 6:19,20;  Romans 16:25, 26).

This, by the grace of God, is our prayer and our resolve.

Who owns JERUSALEM?

Those of us who have even a smidgen of Biblical knowledge know that any peace plan that forces Israel to give even one acre over to the Arabs (Palestinians, as they have come to be known of since 1947 is not a road map to peace, but a road map to mass upheaval.

If only the unbelieving world could understand that God deeded everything from the River of Egypt to the Euphrates to Abraham; plus the Jews bought land with hard money and received deeds  land, which were recorded in God’s Word.

The first parcel of land given documentation in the Bible is found in Genesis 23, where we find that Abraham bought (from the Canaanites) the parcel of ground that included the Cave of Machpelah.

Approximately 100 years later, a second parcel is recorded in the Bible. Jacob buys a parcel of ground which is recorded in Genesis 33, and we know that it was duly recorded as evidenced by the fact that it was this parcel that became the inheritance of Joshua about 300 years later.

The third piece of ground finding record in scripture is found about 400 years after that. This parcel of land is bought by David from the Canaanite, King Araunah, as found in II Samuel 24. This land . the land that becomes the building site for Solomon’s Temple, on which today stands the Muslim Shrine, the Dome of the Rock.

So, the most hotly contested pieces of real estate in the Middle East really shouldn’t be contested at all - Hebron, bought by Abraham; Nablus, bought by Jacob; and the Temple mount, bought by King David.

But, since our God is sovereign and will one day set everything straight, we know that what mortal men will never do, our great God and Savior will do when He returns. Surely, as we see the wickedness of the world increasing exponentially, we can confidently look for our upward trumpet call and then the world will plunge into the horrors of the Tribulation. ‘

As the East coast recently fell into black-out, did you stop to think that this is just a peek through the keyhole as to what is coming?
