GOD
IS ALL

Scripture Reading: Ephesians 1:22, 23
"For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: so we, being many, are one Body in Christ, and every one members one of another" (Romans 12:4, 5). "For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one Body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free, and have been all made to drink into one Spirit" (I Corinthians 12:13).
What an exalted position is ours as children of God! Totally undeserving, altogether unrighteous, lost in sin though we were, God in His mercy bestowed His own righteousness through the offering of His beloved Son. Our resultant membership in the Church which is His Body makes us fellowheirs and partakers of all spiritual blessings in the heavenlies. We are "the fulness of Him that filleth all in all!"
The significance of this standing defies our capacity to contain. But the fact of it is undeniable because it has been declared by the very Word of God. "0 the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and the knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments, and His ways past finding out!" (Romans 11:33). The staggering realization that we can never fulfil the "reasonable service" required in response to receipt of God's unspeakable gift should certainly humble us and provoke us to strive to the uttermost in our ministry of His glorious gospel.
Well might we heed the admonition of the Apostle Paul: " ... that ye walk worthy of the vocation wherewith ye are called, with all lowliness and meekness, with long-suffering forbearing one another in love; endeavouring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace." (Ephesians 4:1b-3).
