Scripture Reading: II Corinthians 6:15, 16
"What concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? For ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people." When God indwells the believer, He does not share the domain of His temple. He will not enter until we have become His very own by virtue of our having received by faith His righteousness. By the same token, Satan cannot enter, once we have become the temple of God.
How totally we are in the constant watch care of God is clearly seen as we recognize that His complete personality is present within us. Our Apostle tells of his willingness to suffer " .. .for His Body's sake, which is the Church: whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God which is given to me for you, to fulfil the Word of God; even the mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is made manifest to His saints: to whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery amongthe Gentiles; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory" Colossians 1;24b-27)·
"Know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God's" (I Corinthians 6:19, 20). Paul is well advised to deliver the plea of Romans 12:1-"1 beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service."
