BUT UNDER GRACE - By Robert E. Hanna

  BUT UNDER GRACE
By Robert E. Hanna

Scripture Reading: Romans 6:12-13

Moses spoke to God's chosen people Israel as the giver of His [God's] law: "Now therefore hearken, 0 Israel, unto the statutes and unto the judgments, which I teach you, for to do them, that ye may live, and go in and possess the land which the Lord of your fathers giveth you. Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you" (Deuteronomy 4:1, 2).

But Paul spoketo the members of Christ's Body as the revelator of the Gospel of the Grace of God: "Sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, BUT UNDER GRACE." Does God contradict Himself? Paul explains: "Before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterward be revealed. Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith. But after that faith has come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster. For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:23-26).

To fully understand our position-our standing before God today-we must realize what Christ accomplished at Calvary. He had declared, while yet ministering on earth, "Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil" (Matthew 5:17). For the law to be fulfilled, it was necessary that God be given full satisfaction, and Christ alone could accomplish this. Christ died on the cross of Calvary as the perfect Lamb of God. "Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth" (Romans 10:4).

There is only way to be SAVED  1.  Corinthian 15;1 - 4  Christ died for our sins was buried and rose again the third day. Believe this from you heart and you will have eternal life.
